i think its way more amazing that he actually turned the song autumn leaves from some boring song my jazz teachers made me play into something really cool and unique, and full of soul and expression

I can feel the "soul" in his improvisation. Perhaps it is you that must take note, for any music that one can feel emotionally has "soul".

take note young guitarists. This is further proof, as if any further proof were needed, that the world is replete with technically proficient technicians. But tell me this, where is the soul in all this proficiency for the sake of proficiency?

! I think you must condider the number of notes you can do on two guitar fretboards simultaneously, and the number of notes you can do on a piano fingerboard..there's not too much difference (12 notes against 10)..by the way, this guy is fantastic!
