I first heard E S T in 2004 saw them @ London Jazz Festival in Nov 2006,i am so glad i came across there music ! i am so sad his gone he was just BRILLIANT ( R I P Esbjorn ) :(

After some days he died I was cycling in the evening in small villages and heard Behind the yasmak and farewelled him. I saw them in February and as I know they planned coming back again to Budapest...

When i was younger and only just getting into jazz, i didn't really get this music. It was too modern for my undeveloped years, and i developed a bias against it from then, even as I got into plenty of other very individual and modern stuff. These last couple of days, I've been listening to EST, after i saw this masquerade on here and was amazed. Now i hear him, and i feel incredibly gutted, and incredibly sad. RIP Esjbörn
