I read some album liner notes where Bill said to forget the instrument, Sing a song. This man is a true artist.

muy bueno idolo que buena ejecucion toda su calidad en un video.

i could do that. i don't think that bill would have a problem with it, but I will ask him. Its highly unfortunate that this concert isn't available on DVD, because I am certain that it would be a big seller. I will see what I can come up with.

If you do, I would gladly and thankfully pay for a copy of that DVD. I know this kind of thing is really not right, but there do not appear to be any copies of Bill's playing for sale. This song is a big favorite of mine. Please keep me posted on that DVD. Get Bill's permission if need be.
Thanks

He plays a New York Bach trombone ( no model number, btw. The New York .500 bore horns didn't have a model number, and they became the 16.but the smaller ones, the 6s, were stamped with a model number), which was made for him by John Pepitano ( the main trombone guy for over 30 years). Its gold plated, and he has had it done several times over the years. Bach started making a copy of his horn in the mid 80s and it was sold as a 16M. And he has never played on anything bigger than an 11C.

i was thinking of selling it, but only after I drop it down to DVD. I was thinking of sending it to Bill and having him sign it for me....he said the last time I talked to him that he doesn't think he has ever seen this tape. I am amazed at the quality of the sound, its easy to hear everything except for when Bill talks, which is kind of a drag, but everything else is crystal clear |
