you mean the series "Tatort", Schimanski is just one cop of the whole series. But Schimanksi is the most popular one. His last appeariance in Tatort was 1991, then he made one single "Tatort" in 2003 and tomorrow,20.07.08 he will be back on TV for one single "Tatort" :) He managed to get 23 Million viewers in the 90s. He is a legend in germany cause his "raw" style of doing things.

@Borusti: WAZ...übersetz das mal. kann damit nix anfangen. :-) habe ne 6er dvd kollektion bei 1,2,3(ebay) erstanden ...da ist das net drauf. sind 3 alte (Einzelhaft,Freunde,Bis zum Hals im Dreck)...drauf...bin aber auf der suche nach noch mehr alten schimanski/thanner tatorten. ^^
