I don't even know why they asked three of them to judge, because they just held they're hand over each dancers head, and who ever got the most cheers, won! I guess they were judging the loudness of the cheers? Not sure how that worked!!! Like I said, this was not an offical thing. Just a bunch of dancers letting loose, and having a good time!!!

No, LOL the elders where not dancing. They were sitting under the tent watching and judging, and this clip is the male and female winners doing the last dance. Glad to see someone enjoys it!!! LOL

I was there when they announced that the traditional dancing was over, and now they would be having a hip hop contest. They invited every dancer to join, not just the young! It was the elders idea, they even announced that! If the elders thought it was disrespectful then they would have given them time to change! After all, they are the representatives and teachers of our Heritage and culture! They are called Regalia, not outfits! If you DO attend many powwows, you would have known that!!!

and another thing i dont know any powwow where the party stars minutes after the powwow is over im full blooded and hit the trail on the reg and have never seen this happen, what hobb wanna be powwow is this

i understand where everyone is coming from if you want to shake your ass then take off your outfits and have a little bit more respect for your style. i would like to think we as natives would be the first to have this kind of respect. there is nothing wrong with fun but you dont have "air sex" with someone in the arena with you outfits on thats like drinking and doing drugs in them have more respect!!!!
