B Movie Clip - Plan 9 From Outer Space scene 1

Ed Wood's masterpiece! One of his more popular movies that seemed to get more attention. That being said, it's equally as bad as anything else he's done. The flying saucer effects are pretty bad, but funny. And again, he uses Criswell to narrate, and casts Bela Lugosi and Tor Johnson who actually has a few lines of dialogue in this (note his one line that sounds like, "Knock around a worl," that's supposed to be "Walk around a while." This is why Tor never speaks in other movies.) As for Bela, some scenes ARE him, some are NOT. Bela Lugosi died a couple of years before Ed Wood made this film, so Mr. Wood used archival footage he had previously taken of Bela Lugosi and used those for some scenes and then found another actor to play Lugosi's part for all the other scenes, having the guy cover most of his face for all his shots so we think it's Bela. And we could never tell the difference could we? Wow! Also, pay close attention to when "the old man" (Bela) gets hit and killed by a car off camera. Wow!!This is an important movie as it really has a cult following, and it was certainly the movie that made people realize just who Ed Wood is, and how bad a director he is. All hail Ed Wood!!!
