James Kendrick of jkOnTheRun couldn't wait for HP to release the Windows XP version of the Mini-Note so he has installed XP himself and in this video shows how fast the Via processor runs with XP. James shows how fast Microsoft Office runs along with web browsing and how fast the WinXP Explorer runs. An inadvertent shutdown also shows how fast the Mini-Note boots cold under Windows XP. Enjoy the video.

Let me know if you have found what you were looking for. Your list of requirements sounds like everything I would want a note/netbook to do.

im starting to study pharmacy in the university and its very distant from home and i need a laptop to be small and in the range of 800$ and can do this things: 1)surf the net with a lot of tabs opened and videos in them 2)work with office 3)download large files from the net 4)playback music and videos 5)work/response fast and doesn't make noises 6)can multi task 7)convert videos and music via itunes... is this mini note enough ???

I'd love to see Google Earth or Photoshop CS2running on it.... they're about the most power-hungry programs I would need...

Thanks for the review. I am planning to buy the version with 1GB memory because its what I can afford. I would like to know if you think skype video will run smoothly on it.
