Right, but it's as popular as (if not more than) the professional sports. And many, many universities have been busted for compensating players under the table with cash, gifts, cars, houses, etc.. ;)

NCAA is not even professional...the NCAA athletes are full amateurs representing their college. The big four American pro sports are NFL, MLB, NASCAR, and NBA, in no specific order.

Here in the US, AFL stands for Arena Football League, a compact style of gridiron football tailored especially for play inside sports arenas.

NASCAR has overtaken ice hockey (NHL) as one of the "Big 4" professional sports, but it's still not as popular as the NFL, and NCAA Division I FBS ball is still the most popular, I think.
