The reporters name is Peter Wallsten and yes he is legally blind. Bush is such a horses ass. Here is the transcript to make what he says a little clearer:THE PRESIDENT: Yes, Peter. Are you going to ask that question with shades on? Q I can take them off. THE PRESIDENT: I'm interested in the shade look, seriously. Q All right, I'll keep it, then. THE PRESIDENT: For the viewers, there's no sun. (Laughter.) Q I guess it depends on your perspective. (Laughter.) THE PRESIDENT: Touche.

i dont think youre supposed to assume all people with sunglesses are blind, but he's a reporters, which is why it's weird to have them on... so i guess its not really bush's fault, though he could've caught his mistake after the first line :/

Jesus christ, the clue that he IS blind (or partially sighted whatever) comes in his immediate reply to Bush...think about it. Bush is blind, if he can't see the parallels between Iraq & Vietnam. Is it because there's no jungle in Iraq?
