00Indy, Quite simply I just can't stomach to watch this particular version, as it was Olivier who first inspired me to take an interest in Shakespeare with his excellent version of this monologue. It was actually the first speech I've ever learned. Branagh, in my opinion has done a hatchet job on it in my opinion, but I still wont deny that his version of the Crispins day speech brought tears to my eyes! Yet, his performance as a whole reminds me of a peasant King, which Henry V clearly wasn't.

well ill just give him this, he appears to show the more realistic side of the campaign, its gorier, bloodier, muddier, less shiny by far, and in my own opinion far more emotional, but mabye you just prefer the better looking one, and as for the acting well i wont try to desuade you ase you seem to be stuck in your ways and your head likewise in the ground

I wouldn't call you any such thing!... If I'm honest, I've never really been into Romeo and Juliet!... My passion is for History and Comedy!... Take care. :-)

No it didnt upset me as your views on Mr Branagh are well known. If I told you that one of my favouite versions of Romeo & Juliet is the Baz Luhrmann version no doubt you will wtite me off as a cretin

May I just say, this is just... CRINGE worthy!... How anyone can compare this with the Olivier version, I just don't know!... This is an insult in comparison. :-( Also, fancy missing out my favourite part of the speech, 'Be copy now to men of grosser blood and teach them how to war.' :-) Outrageous!... :-( To think that Branagh was once thought of as the 'modern' Olivier... well, that must have been a 'peoples' choice, because no expert in his right my would come to that conclusion!... VILE!..
