You're welcome. This *is* a really nice song, and now I have to find out what's in that minute I haven't heard in 35 years. Most of the Reader's Digest record sets were all but worthless, but once in awhile, they contained some gems.

I've been waiting for this one to be posted a VERY long time! Thank you! Lovely, haunting tune! Believe it or not, I have this great song on a 'Reader's Digest' 8 record set called 'All-time Favorite Folk Tunes'!

Yeah, I just noticed that they cut a whole minute of it out. The original is 3:25. I haven't heard any version but this one since 1973. I'll have to find the single now.

Keep that Canadian Mint coming! Shortened version on there, they cut it down to two minutes flat or less. No Rambler for me then, just a banana seat bike. Love these mini-biographies.

Another song that I vaguely remember. I noticed it charted on CHUM AM too...peaking at #24. I was really young when this charted. I had CHUM AM on all the time. It's funny how some songs you never forget hearing the very first time....songs like "The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia" or the novelty hits like "Monster Mash"...and then there's songs like "Goodbye Mama" that drift away from all memory until it shows up on youtube. I appreciate this song much more as an adult. Thanks!
