On HBO's Inside the NFL, Peter King interviewed Denver QB Jake Plummer about the horrific treatment the Tillman family have received over Pat's death. There have been four investigations into what really happened to him and now a fifth one is getting close to being completed. How reprehensible has this been for the Tillman family? Pat is killed and they were repeatedly lied to. The family is not speaking out, but Plummer is. Good for him. Somebody has to. For more on this, see: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/... Kevin Tillman joined the Army with his brother Pat in 2002, and they served together in Iraq and Afghanistan. Pat was killed in Afghanistan on April 22, 2004. Kevin, who was discharged in 2005, has written a powerful, must-read document. See: http://www.truthdig.com/report...

sorry to label him as not an atheist!!! maybe he believed in not beliving, not my discresion, at all. I'm not a religious point a finger wierdo or a man who thinks my views are better or more important than others... all that i wanted to say is that Pat Tillman was a man who was obviously willing to do anything for his country, and i wish that more of us would be willing to do so. Pat Tillman is a great man in my mind no matter what he believed, and that is how I will remember him in my heart!

dude grow the fuck up. youre right. there is bullshit flying all over the Army. youre not the first to figure that out. wars happen.shit gets covered up. youre lied to.great people die under fucked up circumstances. theyre facts of life. sorry but the world is a shitty place, and he was one of the few people getting off his ass and doing something about it. its a shame how he died, but you sitting here acting like you knew him is even more direspectful

why so much secrecy and lack of the full truth, inconsistent explanations? those in charge have been liars as far back as you want to go and have always had the interests of the elites at heart, not those of the soldiers or those on the front lines, bearing the burden of criminal wars...

it makes him more of a hero if one uncovers what the meaning of friendly fire really means, since it is certain that he would have come home to work AGAINST the so-called war on terror, which those in charge could not or would not tolerate
sangwichesrule (September 23, 2008 at 12:29 am)
wow,no offence but your an idiot! whats the hypocricy your talking about? what was he wanting to come home and tell? by you saying that you insult everyone that has ever worn the uniform of and american soldier! and that is disgraceful!
geandily (September 21, 2008 at 1:50 am)
How insulting to say he believed in some sort of god when he was an atheist, I hate when people say this kind of thing about dead people...
flyinghotwing (September 19, 2008 at 4:21 pm)
u.s. govt killed him that is not friendly just govt.op....that was because he was intelligent enough to see the hypocracy there and wanted to return to speak the truth , and the truth may set you free but in this country if you are influential the truth will get you killed...mlk jfk, etc
tiove (September 19, 2008 at 2:54 pm)
erm yes he was atheist

Tillman was in combat. That he died from friendly fire doesn't make him any less a hero.
btiggy420 (August 16, 2008 at 10:47 pm)
No he really did not believe in god... Stop trying to taint something he was proud of and that was being and atheist.... Why do believer always try to make up stories about atheist once they die "He had a death bed conversion", when in truth nothing like that happens.
