This guy epitomizes what real moral leadership is about. When i was a kid our clergy frowned on any questions about current political affairs, and admonish us with the ole "give unto Caesar what is Caesars"line. I don't have religion now but a guy like this would almost bring me back.

Most priests don't wear their collars all the time. It's not mandatory or expected.

i heard him in 1980-81 at college. he is extremely articulate, a great presenter of his message.
he is fighting the good fight...el salvador is one of the great
crimes of the reagan years...and his people are still in power, still making permanent wars against the poor..
he is right, the enemy is ignorance. media and schools have a hard time dealing with reality of us overseas practices

I saw him speak about 6 months ago. I'm very much an agnostic. I had never heard of him, yet I strongly felt that I was in the presence of a just man. It was quite an experience. |
