Lol.. some years ago I had a similar dream XD I was sitting on a table with Keith Jarrett, Herbie Hancock, Miles Davis and some unidentified girls. XD We were talking about something I don't remember... XD

I had a dream I was talking to Wynton Kelly. I asked, "Wynton, it this jazz?" He said "No since it don't swing." I then asked, "Well then what is it?" He said, "I don't know, but it sure is beautiful?" I then played Jarrett's trio version of Autumn Leaves for Wynton without telling Wynton it was Jarrett. Wynton then replied, "Now this guy swings his ass off." I then woke up.

Your opinion. Its not classical but most certainly not elevator music. But give us a little leaway alright? I find it beautiful and it seems more natural with his background to call it Jazz then "contempory post minimalism tonal improvisational romantic impressionism using certain jazz idioms".

alexanderpage4: "The best jazz record in the world" ?? This just IS NOT JAZZ! It's Jarrett rambling on ad finitum on his tod. It's not offensive, but let's get this straight, it's absolutely NOT JAZZ. I would even venture to call it "elevator music."
