The new yamaha comes out soon and is expected to rival the Akai 4000s. It has push keys rather than sensors. Probably a good choice for you.

because i`ve heard, to play the ewi destroys your technical skills on the sax. i don`t know how brecker managed that^^

i like the sound of the ewi.
but the touchpads suck, because you always have to be with your fingers just on the notes you wanna play.
