i'm self taught, so all i can advise is (if you have a pole) practice as much as you can, if you don't have a pole - google pole dancing classes/schools in your area and see what results you get back

check the links on the side of this video for a pole - they deliver all over, different poles and prices - good prices!

oh thats one of my fave moves! it's pretty simple once you get the hang of it, i personally think the trick is "jumping" into the move and leaning right away from the pole this causes you to have speed, more spins, and it stops you from just sliding straight down. you can start off by hooking you foot round and swinging away from the pole before you move on to jumping... and you can use 2 hands aswell if you dont feel strong enough :)

nah, it did at first - but over time your body/skin gets used to it :)

Where do you get a pole like that? I live in Riverside, Ca and all the places I call say that they don't recommend climbing or sliding down the pole. Who do I call?

question, does the pole sliding on your legs hurt?
getting a new apartment, with good enough flooring to buy a pole, and am really interested in learning.
