well, first of all they were NEVER rivals because they didn't know one another(they both admitted)that was something conspired by the media, if you listen to interviews where they speak about one another they say before the collaboration they always thought the other was a GREAT influence to music however, they collaborated because the individual that wrote the song(TCBM)wanted them to sing it together so he told whitney, mariah agreed and told mariah, whitney agreed he kinda lied to them!!
