Hello, sometimes it takes a while for music to reach the uk lol! Or perhaps it was released in 1980 then re-released. I looked on a list of all the number UK number one´s in history on a website that I found thru google (when i had nothing to do lol!) and that was where it was listed as no.1 in summer of ´82. Hope this helps.

I just remember this song in 1980 when I was 7 years old then. And don't think this song went to no. 1. The only song that made Irene to the top was What A feeling, flashdance, that went to no.1 for 6 consecutive weeks in 1983.But this song was been played all over the nation, and most requested I guess.1980 was Olivia Newton John's year of reaching to the top...
