He has a spirit and strength which can never be beat. He is the utomost best singer. Used to like watching him in movies too. Love watching the Kouhaku Uta Gas'sen too.Thank You for many happy memories

Kitajima, Saburo is amazing. Hard to believe he is 71 years old and with such a powerful voice. I also anxiously await the New Year's Day "Red and White" competition. Our only chance to see him and other rare Enka singers. Japan need to wake up and produce more Enka singers like him, because soon there will be no more. The new, young Japanese singers can't compare to singers like Kitajima, Misora Hibari, Itsuki Hiroshi, Naomi Chiaki, Yoshimi Tendo, Yuzo Kayama, etc.
