agreed but as a welder we tend to shake breathing in such toxic chemicals... so i like to hide it with a little weave of up and down or circles and watch my lines

Ark welding sux!! go for a mig or tig, much esier and neater weld. And always wear your gloves, i learnt my lesson, i burnt my wedding ring into my finger.

the first time i welded i did good but striking an arc is a bitch. the freakin rod kept stickin to the metal. i think thats gonna be the hardest thing for me to get used to

I disagree with how this guy is instructing everyone to practice. In the field youll never hang a bead by itself but you will do pad build ups. instead of running a bead then runnng a bead 1/8th of inch down, overlap your beads by 50% all the way down your plate. this was you learn practical objectives and save on materials.
