Here are two of our VOE-GTO mufflers temporarily mounted under a stock 1969 340 Barracuda. The microphones were close to the exhausts' outlet, notice the 11 dBA change from closed to open?

They are spring loaded closed and use vacuum to open. The system has a cannister that is evacuated enough to open the mufflers even at WOT.

I use my car as the test vehicle. That is why they are hanging and not permanently affixed. I will build a set for it later this summer.

Ok but if it runs on vacuum, won't they close when you nail it? And when you nail it is when you want them open

sweet, but why is it on a Cuda? Is this your car?

New ones are so rare because they are so hard and so expensive to build correctly; old ones because they all rusted or eroded or wore out so quickly!

man why is this so rare? I've only seen few of these things
