If you guys notice, this video is over a year old. GO watch Season 4. It proves that Desmond is not a time traveller. Instead it's more of an illness that some people experience from high radiation exposure and while going to and from the island. Desmond does not travel through time, but instead his consciousness, that is to say, his mind gets looped back in time.

i think what's happening to him is that his counsciosness is time travelling because of the radiations he absorbed after he turned the failsafe key in tha hatch, like daniel faraday explained him in the episode "the constant". My 2 penny... :)
