please!... I have 18 thousand songs on my computer. To suggest that I listen to american idol, or fall out boy or whatever, is fucking insulting and just plain wrong. The irony is that Regina Spektor is the next in line for dumb top 40 shit. Everyone and their sister knows who regina spektor is... so don't try to brag about being so "underground". Regina is a pretentious idiot that has to sing in a weird vocal style to get attention from idiots like you, to pretend it's egdy and modern.

Getting a contract with a big record label is not the point of music. It's expression. It's the fact that some people have to make music besides the fact that they aren't becoming commercialized or making loads of money. Just because she doesn't look like a skank and have others write her songs for her doesn't make her bad.
