I was recently on jury duty, and tried explaining that I would not uphold the law that the judge tells us by means of jury veto---the lawyers just laughed at me, and dismissed me from the case.

Juries have the right to judge both the facts AND the law.
THIS is being defied daily by judges telling juries HE WILL INSTRUCT ON THE LAW.
