Are you talking about the fact that when we look into a person's eyes, we think we are looking into their being? Hard to put into words, but hopefully you know what I mean. We associate others' minds with their eyes. But you're not saying we do just because in English "I" and "eye" are homophones, are you? I think that would be too far-fetched...I think it's just because people can make eye contact and achieve direct, continuous communication that way.

I (eye) see. English is a very interesting language that way. It would be neat to know the Japanese connotations of this homophone.

Funnily enough I was reffering to the sound of the word "eye" or rather the pronunciaction of that same word which fits on a tonal concordance with the word I. In other words, the I is the same as the eye. fact which confuses our conscious when it comes to the visual and the sense of the ego. That's what I meant, but if you had it to put it that way, well, then is exactly as you said it is friendo.

Without the "I", how would "you" "see" that indeed there are "eyes" which can "see" "us"? "It seems that I know that I know. What I would like to see; is the I that knows me, when I know that I know that I know." - Unknown

The day you will learn a foreign language, then it'll happen.
