Doesn't translate well? wtf, mate? And why would Jones be a 3rd down runningback? He's not a powerback. He's not going to bruise his way through the line like Barber would. 3rd down RB isn't his style. But, really, if you don't think his style translates into the NFL, you don't watch very many NFL runningbacks. Running based on speed and agility most DEFINITELY translates into the NFL.

Mendenhall isnt going to line up in the I for the Steelers either, they mostly use singleback often use an extra TE instead of a FB. Mendenhall has a good combination of size, speed and moves. I think his style will translate well to the NFL. These clips of Felix Jones turning the corner and rushing 40+ yards untouched with no defenders near him does not translate well to the NFL. Time will tell. I expect Jones to be used more for special teams and 3rd down.

Mendenhall never lined up in pro-set and NEVER lined up in I formation and never played special teams. They only resaon he had a good season last years was becuase of the offenens illinose ran.
