Y'know I gave a lot of thought as to how I might answer you (not that you made much sense). I thought I might start out with, "You're wrong and here's why..." and give a point-by-point rebuttal. However, after much careful thought and precise anaylsis I came up with an answer I found more suitable to this inane and useless conversation and I hope this will answer all further inquiries: Terry Goodkind rules. I looked up Metal music and the first sentance says "Metal is a genre of rock music" It also says it was formed by Blues-Rock(not just blues, Blues-Rock)and Psychedelic Rock.not just blues and later on it evolved by discarding much of its blues influence. So there for it is rock ^_^! Plus its Jrock it has the rock in it!Now you are going to come and reply and not admit it! cuz the next thing you'll come up with is Dogs didn't evolve from Wolfs LMAO!

Metal is not a form of rock anymore, BABE. Rock came from blues and was once a sub-genre of that genre. Does that mean all rock is blues? Metal has changed too much from its rock roots. It's no longer the same thing. Just like rap/hip hop isn't considered a form of r'n'b even though that's what it came from. And metal's been around longer than both those genres combined, so it's had plenty of time to change and evolve. Most metal sounds nothing like rock.
