The problem with South Florida is too many people with too much money. That being said peoples are going to develop where they please. It's unfortunate.

Who allows these places to be built? They get the OK from the local government that is VOTED IN by the people. Vote them out!

Dude, you said it. I hate living on the gulf coast, because I see too many new(and ugly) Townhomes, Wal-Marts, shopping malls, and Condominiums. It sickens me to no end how you can bulldoze a salt marsh(Home to herons, bald eagles, gray foxes, diamondback terrapins, florida water snakes, etc.) and just put up a new house with ugly, non-native Palms planted all around it. Horrible.

yes its a shame, but the other day in Everglades Florida I was walking down a trail and I herd the growling of a fully grown panther. Yes I was scared I think when they paths for people to walk on it needs to be more protected I mean it was 20 feet away from me. Not only would protect the humans but them too. Anyone could go in this trail and start shooting them. But they are beautiful animals first time I saw one Im tourist in Florida =] |
