you are pathetic if you spend time searching for uplifting wise things on the web to call pathetic because you can't see the wisdom in it. I feel you need to learn some of this wisdom, and learn to see the positive in things and love and not hate my friend. We all can turn cold for some reason, and manly ebcause we lack love. I give you a big hug and hope you can find your peace, and pray you will be blessed in time, but please open your heart and mind, and do not be your own enemy. Peace

This track is fab and it reminds me of some wonderful times in my life and also reminds me how wrong I often get my perspective on life the universe and everything.

Baz Luhrmann remixed/produced the song for R+J, and also released it as an album. Originally, the "song" was an essay.

Yea i know the background song (everybody's free) was in the film, but what's the voiceover from? and again, apart from the background song, what has this got to do with Baz Luhrman?

Forgot my YT acct so created a new one just to repost this for all! These words of "wisdom" originally formed an essay by Mary Schmich published in the Chicago Tribune in 1997. The song came later. This was later claimed to be the address given by another author at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In fact Mary Schmich was the author. Since 1999 the University of Zagreb plays this at their graduation ceremony each year. Its also the soundtrack to the very underrated movie The Big Kahuna.

This song always makes me feel better, and puts my life in perspective when I feel like it's spinning out of control. Ahh...the spinning slows down...

It was on the Romeo+Juliet movie with Leo DiCaprio and Claire Danes.
