art students don't become lawyers bud - wrong choice of subject. someone blamed the demise of the indie scene on them. fuck me, talk about exaggerating the power of one little band. sure their situationism was a little misplaced at times, and sometimes they believed the hype from the music press to their own detriment (witness the TJ's non-ruck!), but on the whole they were a breath of fresh air and the last hurrah of the true indie scene.
