Ridley had to go through a painful metamorphosis to become the mechanical behemoth. They also added cybernetic modules and armor plating. In Metroid: Zero Mission, the final boss was Mecha Ridley, a robot built in Ridley's likeness; this could be viewed as a Meta Ridley prototype (as they share similar characteristics), though this one was complete machinery, unlike the true resurrected Ridley meta-form.

He's believed to be a high ranking space pirate officer. Ridley has fought with Samus through every Metroid game. He looks like a robot because of the damage they needed to repair from his fight in the previous game.

there is no phazon bean in this game. you get the power beam, wave beam, ice beam, and plasma beam. but in the second part of the final boss you get to infuse your weapon with phazon for brief periods of time making your weapon go into hyper mode so you can kill metroid prime.

Man Ridley is the hardest boss in that game to me it took such a long time to defeat him.
