The Proton Gen2 only got 3 stars in it's euroncap tests which was quite dangerous; the brakepedal pushes your leg back causing serious injuries, the front pushes the engine well back into the passenger bit, the doors don't open, the footwell crushes badly causing injuries to the feet and lower legs, there are several dangerous structures behind the dashboard, and the frontend was so unrecognisable it's untrue. Avoid if you want to come off best in a crash pick the safer 4star Hyundai Getz

To those narrow-minded Malaysians who probably has never been to west: I'm proud of proton, im a chinese malaysian living in the Manchester ,United Kingdom. Proton needs time to progress and i see they are heading towarad the right path,or else u malaysian hv to be willing to pay 40% taxes out of ur salary to enhance their R&D and technology like what Europe countries do most of the time, Will you? Proton started late,but you're stingy enough to folk out your money to help and keep blaming!
