Saw their video recording of this song .. sounded great! but can't believe it's the same band singing on the live show .. they sound awful! most of the parts are flat especially the bass singer which is obvious

I'm also sure that these guys could hardly hear what they were doing. Vocals are really out of tune and there's obviously some coke at stake. In addition, however, we should not forget that although Toto music might sound like sing-alongs most of their songs are pretty tough to sing. Try to do all the Rosanna parts yourself properly, for instance. Toto has always done things on the edge of a knife, both instrumentally and vocally. They hardly got any credits for that, just the bashing...

Yeah the vocals are off, but I'm willing to bet they couldn't hear themselves onstage. You can tell the hall was extremely loud and echoey! That's not an easy song to sing either....
