No I wouldn't be pissed, everyone's welcome to take anything they want from what I produce. The RIAA works to protect the so-called property of artists but musical quotation is a part of the history of music, classical composers did this long before sampling came along. You seem to be mad because you don't like 2pac, great.

You don't see the simplicity of it, Ronnie is a good guy for some fucking tard "gangsta" to take his music is kinda lame.
Darkgrammer (August 29, 2008 at 11:11 am)
Wait so if you make a song and you make 10,000$ for it and someone else takes your song and adds some different beats to it and makes 9 Million dollars and wins Platinum cds without your permission, wouldn't you be pissed?
I don't sound like the RIAA I'm not saying downloading music is bad I'm saying that actually take parts of songs and using it to make money without giving compensation to the actual artist is more like acting as a fan than the tards at the RIAA.

Who gives a fuck if it is frowned upon? It's not frowned upon for the right reasons. Some people are cool with their stuff being sampled because they're down with the idea that sharing is good. Then there's you sounding like some RIAA muthafuck.

KingOfAllKingZ (August 26, 2008 at 11:14 pm)
oh yeah, very true; i never said that was a false statement, i'm just saying these tracks DO remind you of the samples.. it's pritty simple to figure out why lol.
peace.

I agree that sampling has resurrected alot of classic (and not so classic) tracks, but who is the real beneficiary when the original artist doesn't receive any credit? Props should be given up front so maybe kids will take some initiative to learn more about the original artist. That would be the right way to do it, rather than having to find out "by accident" that the catchy part of their favorite song was actually created by somebody else. |
