If everyone likes this movie "space blazers". please try to watch "cyborg 009" . this tv anime was made in 1966. Who like "space blazers", will certainly like "cyborg 009" .

I also own the film comic (5 volumes) that came out back in the early 80's, it has been out of print for a long time. One of the best anime tv shows ever made in my opinion

I got this show on dvd(season 1 & 2), Use to watch this every chance I got when I was a kid. I remember when I was 12, it aired at 6 am Mon thru Fri and I would wake up early before going to school just so I could watch it. The story is really good no matter which version you watch, English dub or original Japanese with subs. Both versions have the same feel to it. I recommend that you watch the Space Cruiser Yamato movies also.

Well, yeah, they won... but not without a MAJOR cost (unlike American KidVid, where everybody survives every week). Remember the series starts with most of the human race dead from nuclear bombs, and along the way we lose the Captain (in one of the most touching death scenes EVAR) and a lot of crew members (though Star Blazers edited some of this out). Plus the Moon is blown to bits, several cities blasted from orbit, and Trelaina of Telezart sacrificed herself for us. Bit beyond "just won"..

I freaking remeber waching this and this and the macross cartoons every saturday! The theme gave me goosebumps!
