Patti Smith is a legend; I mean, she's referred to as the Godmother of Punk. And what has Cascada done for music? She butchers songs, often classics, by placing her electronically enhanced pathetic voice over it, that's what. I usually defend people who cover classics, to give them a chance, but c'mon, Cascada doesn't compare to Patti Smith in any way, shape, or form. Patti = legend with one of the greatest albums of all freakin' time (Horses) - Cascada - trash club 'artist'.

Cascada's version ? XD A music dance junk group who ruined this cult song, their version is an awful & trash one . If there's an artist who can properly perform "Because the Night" , that one is for sure legendary Patti Smith and , if someone knows a bit of musics , he may not compare a true Rock legend to three ordinary people doing business by their ordinary shit . No way , Patti Smith is from another planet . and her live version is simply awesome .
