I'm assuming by "satanist" you mean the Church of Satan, which is more of an ideological organization that uses satan as a symbol. As far as I know, the satanists who actually believe in and worship the devil of Christian mythology, and sacrifice virgins and unbaptized babies have never been known to exist.
