Due to time constraints I don't have time to read the book, but I have listened to NPR's adaptation on CD. I found it to be very enjoyable. Does anyone know how faithful this version is to the book as opposed to the BBC version? Which version is better? I looked up the unabridged book and it was like 50+ hours... I suppose it would be perfect to bring on a roadtrip though.

Also...great part from 4:25-4:28 when Theoden sees the Mumakil coming. The look on his face is priceless!
