This is a battle between the TRD hachi roku of Tsuchiya and a suzuki swift from the junior rally team. Notes: ae86 ( 170 ps, 20 valve engine, 970 kg.) Swift ( 218 ps, 1600 cc., 1030 kg.) Torque: 19 kgm / 186 Nm on the swift (i think pretty much the same in both engines.)

It'd be brilliant if it had the boxer engine, but alas, it seems it'll have a 2NZ-FE Toyota 4-banger. A 2ZZ-GE ought to be a good swap. I guess tuning the new AE86 is gonna be a lot like tuning an MR2 Spyder, except of course the engine's in the front.

it wont be an "AE86" remake, or at least they wont call it that, it will be a RWD, lightweight, Cheap, sports car and the starting price will start just below 20k, but it will have a flat 4 boxer engine and will be under the subaru name in the US, but it will be toyota in japan. expect it by 2010.
