Yes,that's right. Origin is Takahiro Kishida who was the first to call him "Shisho",which means master in English,.

MAD came frome one of the top animation production company which is "MAD HOUSE". One day, a certain man created wonderful movie. He thought the movie looks like MAD HOUSE'S movie and he wrote it in BBS. Since then we have called good amateur's movie "MAD".
