Actually, bongs have a device caled a slide as well. It's the piece that you put the pot in, push down while lighting, then slide out to take a hit. Maybe that's what he or she was talking about.

yeah its called a slide. Used in Blues alot. Makes it have that bluesy sound when he slides and such.
