I was so not into the alternative scene when it came about during my late teens. The rare song here and there though, from various bands would connect with me. This was one of those songs. Man, watching it again... and his facial expressions and body gestures - the anguish and desperation in his voice, reminds me of why I 'had' to hear it!! It's salvation during those bleak times.
