yes there is. in the background at 5:08 the "ah ah ahs" are the womans choir. They are hidden during the performance. I sing this at the Symphony Orchestra and we are all hidden! :)

can anyone tell me where can I get this exact recording on dvd? Thanks for the help

Well, in the end, it's really hard to tell when the choir stops singing because it fades out so slowly. You could be right, but I really couldn't hear any silence at the end... :/

Indeed! "Saturn" WAS his favorite after all.

Holst himself would've agreed with you on that.

I think your thinking of a magazine called Music box. Each one had a story and then a short piece about the music and then on the other side of the tape was the piece of music

Does anybody remember a childrens magazine in the 90's in the UK that taught children about classical music and there would be a free tape with it on the piece spoken about in the magazine? , I'm dying to remember the name of it

I think they did applaud, the video ends as soon as the choir stops singing. Couln't you hear it?

Yeah, they use a woman's choir offstage, and in the score it actually has very specific directions on how this is to end, unfortunately it was cut off on this clip, but it supposed to end with just the choir fading out as the door to their room is closed until nothing is heard. |
