Yeah, best thing to do is to present yourself straight, like his pistol stance, because it allows most of your chest area to be protected by the ceramic plate in your armor
If a weaver stance is used, the sides of your body (not protected by ceramic plate) is exposed

considering he is hired by some military and law enforcement for training i would think some big shots think he has developed worthwhile skills to have in the field.

actually all soldiers are trained for the strong isosceles stance because when a bullet hits you it only damages one organ and thats where you are the most protected in body armor

He'd be dead. Soldiers use the weaver stance because it presents the smaller target. This guy would have probably received a double tap to the chest and a shot to the head before he could even get a shot off.
