holy smokes i have not seen this video in years. i was a kid at the time like 10. watching it now though, the song and the video have nothing to do with working out, it is about rolling around in bed with your mate, or with oliva which would be ok i must say. i will be damned, all these years and i finally got it.

Billboard Magazine was already in its 1982 chart year when Physical hit #1. Their chart year back then was November to October. That's why Physical was the #1 song of 1982 and not 1981. (Bette Davis Eyes was #1 for 1981)

Steve Lukather from TOTO played the guitar on this one (and almost all the 80's hits haha). Stupid song for him I think but he was the best studio guitar player there was.
