this is true. what they do is everything is live up until about halfway through the song, then they play a tape of the original synth track which also contains the acoustic guitar track. but otherwise, the organ is live for the first 3 minutes or so

Yeah - I think that is Simon Townshend, isn't it?

you are right in the begining you can see another guitar player never noticed him till you said something about him. He is not easy to see though

Um, dude, @ 4.12 there's a clear view of everyone onstage. None of 'em are playing an acoustic guitar. And, PLEASE don't lump me in w/ those who made lip-synch accusations. I merely pointed out that the ORGAN and ACOUSTIC GUITAR heard @ Live 8 was from the 1971 backing track. As it also was when Baba O'Riley was played live. Why else do you think Moon and Jones wore headphones onstage during those 2 songs? If you can spot someone playing an acoustic guitar in this clip, by all means let me know.

um dude, you do realize of course that they're are two guitarist on stage. So one can be and is playing a clean guitar, hence the acoustic guitar. So sad that you gotta be a person who always says people lip sync. If you've ever seen the Who live, like I have, you can tell a difference.

not at Live 8. Zak Starkey was on tour with Oasis at the time. That's Steve White drumming. (older brother of former Oasis drummer Alan White)

Wow what a performance! Only thing is, and it has been mentioned, we don't see enough of Pete's windmill. It seems to cut to the drums every time he is about to do it! The cameraman should be shot for that...
